WINNER
Nepal has been conducting training programs successfully
since its inception in the year 1999 and so far it has benefited
more than three thousand Small and Micro-level women entrepreneurs
as well as male and female employees of mostly women-owned
organizations. WINNER Nepal now regularly includes both
male and female employees of social organizations as participants
for trainings.
All
the trainings that WINNER Nepal has conducted so far have
concentrated on building the capacity of women entrepreneurs.
The themes for the trainings have ranged from Information
Technology, Marketing, Enterprise Management and Handicraft
Designing. The themes differ depending on the area where
the training is being taken and the demand of the local
women entrepreneurs. As of now, WINNER Nepal has successfully
conducted a total of forty trainings that have directly
benefited more than eight hundred women entrepreneurs as
well as male and female employees of women-owned organizations.
Women
in Nepal are generally at a disadvantage because of their
limited education and the case is no different where women
entrepreneurs are concerned. The problem is even more acute
in smaller centers where women are barely literate and find
the dealings of enterprises beyond their comprehension.
WINNER Nepal has therefore taken trainings to women entrepreneurs
based on their needs and changed the format as per the ability
of the entrepreneurs it is trying to assist.
