| Advisor: Gyan Pradhan, PhD
Dr.
Pradhan is an Associate Professor
of Economics and the John E. Simon Chair
in Business at Westminster College.
He earned a PhD in Economics from American
University (USA). His teaching and research
interests include macroeconomics, international
economics, development economics and
public economics. He was chair of the
ABEMIS department from 2000-2004. He
is also a visiting faculty member at
Washington University in St. Louis.
NWGN St. Louis team is privileged to
have his constant support and inspiration. |
| President: Arati Maleku, MSW
Arati
initiated the formation of the NWGN
St. Louis, and serves as the Founding
President of the Chapter. She is
currently working as a Program Associate
with the Missouri Foundation for Health.
She also serves on the Board of
Directors for Mitrata Nepal Foundation
for Children, a St. Louis based nonprofit
organization working towards helping
children in need in Nepal. Her
interest areas include Philanthropy,
Health Equity, Gender Equity,
Child Welfare, Social Policy and Research. |
Rachana B. Pradhan, MSW
Rachana
received Master of Social Work degree
from Washington University in St. Louis
in 2005. She has been working in
the field of mental health where she
supervises a community psychiatric rehabilitation
program at Hopewell Center in St. Louis.
She loves her job and is amazed how
it challenges her every day. Rachana
lives in St. Louis with her husband,
who is pro-active in bringing Nepalese
community together in St. Louis. |
Vice President and Treasurer:
Rachana Shrestha, CPA
Rachana
Shrestha is a Certified Public Accountant
currently working as a Senior Financial
Analyst at Dierbergs Markets, a local
grocery chain in St Louis. She is pursuing
her MBA at Webster University. In her
spare time, she enjoys reading fiction
and watching movies. Rachana is a very
dedicated person who looks forward to
bringing her financial expertise to
the NWGN team.

Member : Prati Khatiwada, MSW
Prati
received her MSW degreee from St. Louis
University. She is currently working
with "The Hopewell Center" as
a Program Supervisor the Children's
Mental Health Program. Prati plans to
get her PhD degree in the area of children
and mental health. Her areas of interest
include diversity, women, child welfare,
and mental health. She serves as the
Chair for the Fundraising Committeee
for NWGN St. Louis and works really
hard to link resources to the array
of projects that the team strives for. |

Leewa Khatiwada Dangi, MSW
Leewa
is an MSW graduate from the Brown School
of Social Work at Washington University
in St. Louis. She worked at Family Resource
Center as a Foster Care Case Manager
for Missouri Children's Division and
is now an Adoption Specialist for Children's
Permanency Partnership for Missouri
Children's Division. Leewa worked as
an RJ for Hits FM Private Limited in
Nepal for six years. She also worked
with World Vision International in Nepal
for two years as a Community Development
Officer. Leewa is married with one child
and is enjoying motherhood. |
Member: Jesri
Rajyalaxmi Chand, MMC
Jesri
received her Master's degree in Marketing
Management and Communication from Toulouse
Graduate Business School, France. She
is currently working as a Cataloging
Associate at St. Louis Public Library.
She catalogs music cds and foreign language
books for the library and its 17 branches.
Jesri is very interested to pursue Masters
in Library Science. She enjoys meeting
people from different diversities, socializing
and has a keen interest in community
services. |
